It's a Shutterfly Christmas

It's that time of year again....the time where you actually look forward to the mail man at your door because you get to see pictures of sweet faces and loved ones. It seems so rare that we actually print out our photo's anymore and that is just another reason I cherish receiving family Christmas cards. This year I plan on using Shutterfly for our Christmas cards. I love all of the options they have! I love that some styles are traditional and simple while others are fun and funky.

I have always used Shutterfly for the kids Birthday invitations and this year I plan on working on a few projects to give as personalized gifts such as a photo albumn, A beautiful canvas for our family portrait, and a family dvd.

All that to say I just love this source for many of our Holiday and Special Occasion needs.

If you would like to learn more about Shutterfly and their Blogger promotion Click Here.
This is a testament to what a wonderful company they are. They are giving back to their existing and future customers during a time that can be financially draining. I'm so excited to get my Christmas cards in the mail and I can't wait to share them with you all!

Here comes Santa Claus

Santa Claus...a dreadfully scary old man with too much facial hair (Addie's definition)
Addie did NOT like the first Santa that she met this holiday season, thus the whole sliding down Santa's knee as the photographer tries to snap a picture. After that day, she decided that he wasn't so bad....after all, he gave her candy.
She climbed up into Santa #2's lap with her lip poking out as if she could cry at any moment, but Santa distracted her with his watch. Picture # 2 is Addie in awe of Santa's watch. Those reindeer are amazing!
This is such a fun Christmas! The kids are enjoying every minute. Peyton said today,"Mom, this is our first Christmas in our new house! I can't wait for Santa Claus to come!".

Peyton

Peyton is growing up so fast. I just want to freeze time (on a good day) to listen to him laugh and watch him enjoy life, just one more time. That boy knows how to have fun! We are so blessed to have him!

Playing at the park

We fed the ducks and played at the park for a little bit in November. Addie enjoyed feeding the ducks and eating the bread that we brought for them.

Camping @ Dinosaur Valley, Glenrose

We went camping with the Ainsworths at Dinosaur Valley on the most perfect weekend ever, weatherwise! It was so beautiful with highs in the upper 70's and lows cool enough for smores and hot chocolate. Jill, Shawn, and baby Slade are such a sweet family. I can honestly say that we didn't hurt for good food. Shawn and Scott cooked up some great grub for us. Peyton and Scott enjoyed playing in the river looking for dinosaur tracks. The water was very cold, but Addie and I rolled up our blue jeans and waded out in it, anyway.

Halloween

What a fun night...Addie was Alice in Wonderland...Peyton was Spiderman (for the second year). We trick or treated with friends in our neighborhood and had a very laid back relaxed night. Peyton had a great time running from house to house with his two buddies, Bryce and Gavin, and Addie hung out with her little girlfriend, Olivia. The girls just didn't really get what they were supposed to do. Addie would hold her pumkin bucket up for candy and then didn't understand why she wasn't going into the house that she was standing at the door of. It was just mind boggling why we would take her to a door, it would open, and then we told her that we needed to go. We usually walk in an open door.

After Addie's candy bucket was halfway full, she started handing out candy instead of trying to get more. She had seen them give her candy for about 10 houses, so she wanted to do the same. They would open the door and she would reach in her bucket and hold up a couple of pieces of candy to give them. So funny! It only makes sense! :)

Mansfield Pecan Festival

Today, we went to the Mansfield Pecan Festival. We happened to all be together on a Saturday, which is rare these days, so we took advantage of a beautiful fall day. We all had a great time.
